This page will be dedicated to videos I've taken, from recordings of me singing songs to random events I've seen or taken part of over the years.

Had this song on my head with all the Hurricanes, first Marco and then Laura. Fortunately they moved through quickly, although lives were still lost and many were changed forever. Along with the landscape of the southern coast.

March 11, 2016

A bit of gospel inspired by Darrell Scott, performed at the West Texas Boys Ranch.

February 7, 2016

A little medley I love to play. Bob Marley, Sublime. From my time living as a bachelor in an RV.

November 6th, 2015

In 2015 I was fortunate enough to attend Fun Fun Fun fest in Austin, TX. My friend Chris and I knew little of the artist Peaches, besides being featured in the show Jackass and the movies that followed it. Little did we know we'd see imagery we'll never forget, and even witnessed a proposal. Memorable night to say the least.

Happened to call into Tom Green's podcast. He roasted me more than anything, and didn't follow through with any of what he told me he would. May've deserved it by not giving my undivided attention, although even when it appears my attention is undivided it most certainly isn't. I'd met him in San Angelo (Tom Green County) when I was 12 years old.

November 3rd, 2014

My main dog Kato howlin' along to a little bit of melodica playing. He's still with us - going on 8 years old and as good a boy as ever. This might be morbid but my heart hearts when I watch this cause I know one day I won't have him, and that hurts. Really love my dogs, especially this one.

Moving a small one room mobile home addition with a skyjack. Timelapse shot with a Nikon D5200. Guess I can show this to anyone who doubts my ability to operate heavy machinery.

October 25th, 2014

Short timelapse the first week I owned a Nikon D5200, kit lens. Lowering an old addition on a mobile home - real entertaining.

October 24th, 2014

First timelapse I took with my Nikon D5200, on the first night I ever took photos of stars. With an amazon basics tripod. I remember the first photo I got of some decent stars, and this voice in the back of my head said 'you're going to be doing this for the rest of you life. True so far.

October 17th, 2014

Test timelapse with a Canon hf 500 that I wound up returning for a DSLR. Glad I did, or I might have not picked up photography! Just some guys clearing trees and debri from the perimeter of an old mobile home.

October 12th, 2014

October of 2014 was when I first began taking photos. This was a few weeks before getting my first DSLR, I'd bought a Canon camcorder. This was shot with that, with some local cows I passed each day on the way to work. A few weeks later I sent this camera back for a DSLR. The rest is history. Still want another one of these camcorders.

This is a video of me singing a cover of the band Cake's 'Mexico' from their 1998 album Prolonging The Magic

August 26th, 2014

This is a video of me singing The Rolling Stones 'Dead Flowers', from their 1971 album Sticky Fingers. In the spirit of Townes Van Zandt - often heard at the end of The Big Lebowski. It's said that when the producers of the movie asked the Stones if they could use the song, they sent an advance copy of the film to the band. Keith Richards, upon hearing John Gooman exclaim 'fuck the Eagles!' said they were welcome to the song.

July 6th, 2014

A buddy of mine was getting married and wanted a misfits song played at his wedding. Alas, I was in Texas and he was in Arizona. So I recorded this for him.

March 28th, 2014

This is a video of me singing Ryan Bingham's 'Snake Eyes', from his album 'Roadhouse Sun'. This was as I was getting a bit better recording equipment, but was still figuring out how to use it. This is a left channel only recording.

August 19th, 2011

This is a video of some very good friends of mine playing at Blaines Pub in San Angelo. We all basically lived together on Long St. in Stephneville, TX the year before, while attending Tarleton State University. Great, wild, blurry times.

August 12th, 2011

This is a video of me playing 'Wind Cries Mary; by Jimi Hendrix, followed by part of 'Guarantees' by Atmosphere, ending with 'Rodeo Clowns' by Jack Johnson. Recorded in the music room of the West Texas Boys Ranch, in my pajamas.

June 25th, 2011

Some words I wrote about my life at the time, friends I had. Called it 'One Love', awfully original I know. Rapped over Jazz Liberatorz. Never went much further with rap, but I'm happy I did this.

June 22nd, 2011

Some rhythmically applied poetry I wrote when I was exploring the potentail of being a rapper - mainly an exercise in proving to myself I could do it. Never took it very far, but like most things - I really enjoyed the challenge.

June 19th, 2011

This is a guitar melody I recorded while experimenting with the various effects available in Garage Band on a first generation Ipad.

June 18th, 2011

This is a cover of Eyedea & Abilities 'Void (External Theory)" from the album First Born. It's loud, abrasive, and a poor recording. But it was fun to learn.

May 3rd, 2011

This is a cover of Eyedea & Abilities 'Powdered Water' from the album First Born. It's hip-hop, and I came up with the acoustic guitar for this cover. Recorded on an Ipad (first gen!).

At the end of my second semester at UNT I was able attend the "Railroad Revival Tour" in Marfa, TX. It was Easter Sunday, at it was a religious experience. On the bill were a relatively unkown Mumford & Sons, Old Crow Medicine Show, as well as Edward Sharpe and his Magnetic Zero's. This was their encore, a stirring rendition of Amazing Grace, following "This Train Is Bound for Glory". The trip was a whirlwhind, the girls I went with had tickets and I was too late to the party to get one myself. Ended up sitting in the parking lot with Tommy, a friend of ours from San Angelo that was in the same boat as me. We were sitting there drinking Lonestar when a group of girls with tour merch on came up and asked why we weren't outside. Once we explained our predicament they offered to give us backstage passes in exchange for a video interview of our story, how far we'd traveled, and how we had just drove past Jake Gyllenhaal.

December 12, 2010

Another dorm room recording. Bright Eye's "Lua". Recorded the acoustic/vocals, then melodica on top of it. My apologies for the volume of that, this was in my early recording days of Audacity. There's also a text message notification at one point - taught me to remember to silence my phone before recording a song.

October 11, 2010

A cover I made of Atmosphere's "Woman With The Tattooed Hands", recorded in a dorm room at the University of North Texas in the fall of 2010. Piano played over a guitar and vocal recording. Original acoustic score - in other words I came up with the guitar part. Piano too for that matter. This is one of the first hip-hop/rap songs I ever loved, so I decided to take the time to try to emulate it.

What can I say, this is a few 18 year olds crawling around an empty state park in an old Chevy truck. San Angelo Spillway. We spent a lot of weekends camping out there. Back then you could walk up to the top of the spillway and watch the water rush through the gates below, nothing but a 6ft. chain link fence between you and certain death. The entire burm the spillway was built into would vibrate after a recent rain, it was a beautiful part of growing up in West Texas. We eplored ourselves and spaces both outer and inner. It's now gated off and innaccesible to the public.
